CNet is constantly updated so you can be sure of the latest information on the latest model HDTVs. CNet doesn't review analog TVs, but they cover the latest in plasma TV, LCD TV, rear-projection TV, tube-based HDTVs and front projectors. The reviewers detail the pros and cons of different models and provide HDTV ratings and calibrated performance measurements. * CNet.com (HDTV World) - CNet.com's HDTV World provides the best in HDTV ratings and reviews. Reviews detail basic HDTV vocabulary and offer advice on tweaking your display. They also offer the pros and cons of each TV. If you are new to HDTV, this article makes a great introduction. Links to reviews can also be found here. * Consumer Reports TV Decision Guide - This guide provides technology related articles and plasma, LCD flat-panel, rear-projection and both analog and high-definition tube-based TV reviews. You need to be a paid subscriber to the Web site to access the guide and read HDTV ratings and reviews. * PC Magazine - HDTVs: Ready for Prime Time - This publication covers plasma, LCD flat-panel, rear-projection, tube-based and front projection HDTV ratings. * Sound & Vision Magazine - Plasma Panorama - This magazine covers four plasma TVs. The V, Inc. Vizio P42HDe is the cheapest model reviewed. The HP PL4245N and the Pioneer PDP-4350HD are also reviewed as well as the more expensive Panasonic TH-42XVS30U. Single-product reviews are also offered in addition to the HDTV ratings. * Sound & Vision Magazine HDTV Ratings - DLP vs. LCD - This test covers a DLP rear-projection TV (the Samsung HL-P5085W) and an LCD RPTV (the Hitachi 50VS810). The reviews are done by three experts and based on performance in the areas of contrast, color saturation and uniformity, and picture detail. The Samsung DLP emerged as a clear winner. * PC World HDTV Ratings- Big Screens and Better Prices - Eight plasma panel HDTVs are reviewed in terms of audio quality and other features. The LG Electronics 42PXHD emerged as the overall winner in terms of features and performance despite some loss of picture quality. The Philips 42PF9966 and NEC PX-42XR3A are also reviewed.
